The Torah
In memory of Zaidy LA the family will be commissioning the writing of a Sefer Torah in his honor.
His youngest son Mendel is currently writing the Sefer Torah, and should be finishing soon G-d willing.
How do you come into the picture?
The Lubavitcher Rebbe started a unique initiative that every Jew should own a letter in a Sefer Torah, Zaidy LA, as with many of the Rebbe’s other campaigns, was very active in assuring that every Jew should own a letter in a Sefer Torah. It only makes sense that the Sefer Torah dedicated in his honor should also help assure that every Jew own a letter in a Sefer Torah.
Therefore everyone should contact us to purchase a letter in this Sefer Torah, and in good old Zaidy fashion try to help every Jew possible to get a letter in a Sefer Torah as well. “And the living shall take to heart.” “And walk in his ways.” (Ecclesiastes, Isaiah)

This Torah will also be the first Torah to be part of a new project, which will allow people to buy and own a NFT on a letter in a Torah,
As mentioned earlier it is an extremely important and special thing to own a letter in a Torah. This can be done by hiring a Sofer (scribe) to write a letter for you and receiving a certificate. Until now. With the help of modern, cutting-edge technology, and some hard work by Zaidy’s oldest (techy-savvy) son Moshe, it is will now be possible to purchase an NFT on a letter of the Torah.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are a class of cryptocurrency assets in which each item, or token, is entirely unique. Nonfungible tokens prove ownership of a digital item – image, sound file or text – in the same way that people own crypto coins. Unlike crypto coins, which are identical and worth the same, NFTs are unique. NFTs are designed to give you something that can’t be copied: ownership of the work.
This new project would allow people to buy an NFT of the work of the Sofer, and would recive a digital crypto-certificate of ownership of a letter.
By purchasing a NFT of a letter in a Torah, you are owning a letter in a Sefer Torah like never before.
